Can't Connect to Xbox Live multi-player games on Xbox One because of strict NAT

Modem brand & model number: NONE

Router brand & model number: N300-WiFi Router Model: WNR3500L

How many 360 and One consoles are connected to this router?: Only Xbox One

Wired or wireless (for each console): Attempted both wired and wireless

Things you have tried: Opening NAT through netgear router website and Xbox settings. Tried plugging cable from wall directly into Xbox One and it still remains strict.

Is UPnP Enabled? Unknown

Do you have a NAT error? If so, what is your NAT type? No error - just strict

Any Error Codes you encounter: No

Who is your ISP?(Internet Service Provider): Shared community internet at apartment complex. EarthLink. Not able to change settings. Would consider purchasing my own internet service provider (Cox) if this would make it work.

I have followed all the guides and recommendations to open the NAT. Consulted with multiple IT professionals and called Xbox support multiple times. Still could not get NAT to open. My setup is shared internet in apartment complex. So I have a cable
coming in from the wall that connects to my N300-WiFi Router Model: WNR3500L. This router then connects to my X1. I have tried connecting directly from the wall to the X1 and no change in result. I have tried opening the NAT through the Xbox settings and
through my wireless router settings. My apartment complex controls the internet service and will not allow changes to be made. . I was told that if I brought my system to a person who did not have shared internet that it would connect with multi-player
games. So I took my console to a location where there was a modem and routher through AT&T U-Verse and it would still not connect with multi-player games. If anyone can provide some assistance or guidance in how I can connect to multi-player games in Xbox
Live, it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm getting the same issue, NAT strict, can't connect to XBOX Live. NAT is not set to strict though on wireless router. Now getting a hardware warning that it is a problem with my hardware in my One. Great! Tried unplug, reset, great!

 

Try:

go to Settings--Network--Advance Settings--Alternate MAC address--Clear MAC address

That may help

 

At this point it probably be in your best interest to purchase your own internet. The fix that works the best actually requires you to be able to login to the router to change the settings. If what ArfElaS says doesn't work, I would probably look into purchasing
my own.

 

Thanks for the quick responses and feedback. Attempted clearing the MAC address with no success. Will try getting individual internet and see if it works better than shared internet. Thanks!
