Can't connect to Xbox Live Fix

Is there a pop up saying connect to xbox live and you press it and it doesn't work? Well all you gotta do is sign out then sign back in.

Xbox Live on Surface 2

Hello, When I try to play a xbox live game on my surface 2 it Always says that it can't connect to xbox live. The games app can connect, but the games can't. Someone knows how to fix this? Thanks

TryOxide. You are correct it doesn't work for everyone. However, it does work for most. Here is a suggested fix for some that are being more stubborn. First remove all profiles from the console making sure that you have the correct login credentials
for each of the profiles. Then do a hard reset on the console like this. Please follow instructions exactly. Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console
for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console. Once it is back up and operational download the problematic profile and test the results. Please let us know how it goes. Good Luck!!

 

After trying several more complicated solutions, including hard reset, changing DNS, and switching between different networks, signing out and back in did the trick.
