Can't connect to Xbox Live even though "everything is good"

Hello,

I have been unable to connect to Xbox Live for quite some days now. In the past, all I had to do was to reconfigure my wireless internet connection (select WiFi channel, enter password, done), but this time the problem is not in the connection, as I get message
that "everything is good" when I run the network connection test.

What is even more odd is that, when i click on the "connect to Xbox Live" menu (on the right side of the main hub - see here: http://i.imgur.com/l3vJ1fL.jpg), there is simply no reaction whatsoever, other than the usual chime we hear when selecting a menu
on the Xbox One hub. It doesn't open a new window, just remains still with no reaction.

Since it's not an internet connection problem, no error messages are displayed, since I simply get no reaction whenever trying to connect, and since I have been unable to do so for almost a week, I really could appreciate some help.

Xbox Live Profile/Disconnections

Done mult of test, Everything come out good. Once logged into profile and start up Hulu or netflix or even game xbox live shuts off It just shows " Can't connect to Xbox live. Select Test Connections to troubleshoot, or try downloading your profile again.
Thus I go online and log on my account when I try to look at "My Account" link and All that shows is " youve found a glitch in the system. and gives me a code.

 

Cant connect to Xbox live.

I can't connect, either. I live in the upper Midwest, and according to downdetector, that's where a large number of people are reporting Live connection issues. ISP is good, network is good, everything but the Xbox connects just fine. Hell, the Xbox even
states that it has Internet connectivity, just can't connect to Live. So yeah, either a DDoS attack, or someone spilled coffee on the server bank in Chicago...

 

I would recommend doing a console power cycle by following these steps.

1. Hold down power button for 10 seconds until fully powered down

2. Removing power cable and pressing power button a few more times

3. Put power cable back in and wait for brick light to turn orange and then power back on.

I would also unplug your router for a full 5 minutes and ensure all cables are secure. In addition I would see if you can connect the console using an Ethernet cable and see if that fixes any problems.

What will typically correct this issue is to log out of your profile and then log back in. Give that a try and let us know if it works for you. Good Luck!!
