When I go onto my xbox one I can see how many of my friends are online, but on the home page there is a button that says "Connect to Xbox Live".

My xbox one is connected wirelessly and has worked fine before.

I've tried changing the DNS settings to manual (primary 8.8.8.8. and secondary 8.8.4.4), i've tried resetting the router and I've tried hard resetting the xbox.

When I do the network connection test it says "everything is good. your console is connected to the internet" but I can't access xbox live, still.

HALP PLEASE.

Can't connect to Live

Booted up the Xbox and it won't connect to Live. Tried two accounts, rebooting router and all network tests. The network tests are saying everything is fine and I can't find something that says "Connect to Live" anywhere. Any help? Frustrating as hell!

How to connect to Xbox Live in X1

There is no button or menu to connect!

The system is not connected, I do a network test and it passes, but still is not connected... I can't do anything with the X1 if it's not connected to live!

Is there a way to manually connect to Xbox live in this console?

I've also got this problem, only thing that seems to work is removing my account from Xbox and re-adding it again. Getting frustrating now as when I do that fallout needs to sync data and it takes hours, having to do this every couple of days to get half
hour of playtime :-(

Signing in/out worked for me as well, but wtf is the problem?

It's very frustrating that there were no xbox live connection errors and all the support articles end at "well the network test worked so you're good!"

we keep getting this message that our profile isn't allowed to play live, but we just paid for the Gold plan and our profile says we have a gold connection-any ideas?

whats more, i can't even sign into a profile. i will test my network, it will connect to xbox live, then i will try and sign into my Live profile and it will say "unable to connect to xbox live"

I don't even get that far. I turn on my Xbox and it says I'm disconnected and to try a connection test. So I run one of those and it says I'm connected to the network, the internet, and Live, yet I can't connect. I don't have any idea why I still can't even
after trying all the usual fixes. It's a real bummer too 'cause I can't access my game saves in the cloud.

I'm having the same issue. I was connecting fine with my modem and wireless router until yesterday. Now it picks up my network but can't connect to live. If I test my Xbox live connection....it connects to the network and Internet but not live. If I run
a static check it connects to the Internet. However if I do the Initial Setup....the Internet fails and says Blocked next to xbox live

Go into the system settings and network settings and test your connection to Xbox LIVE. See where in the process it fails. If your Xbox can connect to the Network but not to the Internet or Live, that is a different set of solutions than if you can't even
connect to your network. Test it and let us know, then we can give you a more specific solution.
