I'm in the Military on Deployment out to sea. I haven't had the internet this entire time except for updating my Xbox One around Christmas time. Everything has worked with signing into my main Xbox Account (the one with Xbox Live Gold) until now. I can't
log into it, but I can log into the other random accounts on my Xbox One. I put the settings to offline to see if the Xbox One would stop trying to log into the internet every time I sign in. That didn't help. I don't know what to do. All of my save data is
on that account. Please help.

To use your Xbox One without being prompted to connect to Xbox Live, set it to offline. While offline, your Xbox won't connect to any networks.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select System > Settings.

Choose Network.

Select Network settings > Go offline.

how do i delete my free xbox live account?

So far I've read you can't merge an offline account with an xbox live account. I already delegated my live profile on the xbox but my account is still active on the website. I just want to delete it and join xbox live with my offline account. I heard that's
the only easy way to merge the two/connect my offline account to xbox live.

try a hard restart? hold down power button till it turns off.. unplug till brick light goes out totally... plug back in..

just makes sure all your settings are what you want them to be... before you do this

Update. That didn't work. It just tries to log me into Xbox Live when Xbox Live is clearly not available.

If you have the most recent update got to settings, network, then select "Go Offline". Try this before signing an account in. Once you go offline there should be no problems signing into your account.

^^ this also ^^ one of the updates had an option to go offline... also check connections for your internet... might want to see if it is looking for a wifi signal.

I partly solved the problem.

You can only play offline, but at least you will be able to play the game. This is what you do:

1. Sign off from XBOX-live.

2. Create a second profile and call it "Offline" for example. Do NOT sign into XBOX-live with this account.

3. Now start up the game, using the "offline" profile.

4. Enjoy the game offline

Obviously this has some disadvantages:

- Your gamesaves will be under this "offline" profile.

- You won't be able to play online.

Hopefully 2K-games or Microsoft will solve the problem with this game while we are playing it offline.

Are you playing your games while connected to Xbox Live/Network connection or offline?

Because if you're playing your games while offline, by resetting the console it will delete all local saved games.

If they played it while offline, nothing would happen to your account unless they signed into Xbox Live on that console with that profile. There is no way for the account to update unless that console that played it offline signed in into Xbox Live.
