Can't connect to x box live

Didn't you just say that you already have a paid subscription (gold)? I assume that membership is also tied to the gamertag in question.

 

Yes I've got it til August but its not coming up. It says redeem codes.

 

The affected profile, is it the same profile you're using to post with on these forums?

 

My son says the gold is on another profile. I'm going to have to download that profile. Im going to have to download that profile. Can't remember where they are. Also when I take the USB out I get an error code. 80 although it says we are connected to x
box live, which always failed before. Still needs some work.

Can you confirm that you are able to download your profile from Live to USB drive properly (with the hard drive removed).

My experience with error code 80151911, is that this code is often related to a failing hard drive.

 

I did download it to the USB stick.I can't remember at what point I took hard drive out but I did follow instructions. I will try later again.

The x box is about 3 years old.

I have downloaded profile onto USB stick with hard drive removed and applied update and sign into x box.

I suppose I should put the HDD back in

 

Please do so!

Delete your profile ONLY from HDD (select Delete Profile Only) and move your profile from USB to HDD.

Check your HDD for corrupted contents. Corrupted contents are shown as an yellow exclamation mark.

I would also suggest that you reset your Xbox network settings to factory defaults, to issue new IP configuration from the router.

Let me know how that goes.
