  1. Can't connect to wireless wifi on my xbox one s

My xbox randomly stopped working with wifi and I don't know what happened. I looked through all the settings and everything and the only problem I noticed was that my xbox was set to the wrong time, but was in the right timezone, and the date was set to
september 21st, 2014. I changed the settings to the right date and time and restarted my console, but they just went back to the wrong dates. I then went to support and tried basically anything they told me, such as restarting my router and my console, clearing
the MAC and restarting my console, I even factory reset my console, but that didn't work and now i'm stuck on the setup screen cause I can't get past the update part without wifi. I can't try to use ethernet because I don't have a cord but if that is the only
solution to being able to connect to the internet then i'll get one, but I would like to use wireless

    :)

Xbox 360 won't connect to internet without ethernet cable

What specifically would allow the Xbox 360 Wireless Networking Adapter to connect while the built-in wifi would not?

My Xbox 360 S detects a wireless signal with 4 bars, and I am testing it while sitting it right next to the modem, so there is no issue with signal strength.

My Xbox 360 S's built-in wifi is able to connect to a hotspot, and it is even able to connect to my neighbor's wifi from my house.

Both of the 360 consoles are on a wifi (wireless) connection. Each one is connected to separate routers. All necessary ports are open and the NAT Type on my Xbox One is 'Open'. The Xbox one is connected to one of the routers with one of the 360's.

Can't connect to wireless wifi on my xbox one s

In most cases with wireless devices to networks, it is very common that the device will not connect unless hard wired (ethernet) first. I would suggest to purchase a IPV4 ethernet cable just long enough to reach your router or modem without strain. After
connected, activate the wireless and your connection should be seamless.

Can't connect to wireless wifi on my xbox one s

    Hello Moneyman,

We thank you for bringing this inquiry to our forums community, and understand that your Xbox One S console appears to not be connecting wirelessly to your home network.

If you have already attempted the steps provided through our
Xbox One network connection support article, we suggest testing the wireless capabilities of the console itself by testing
to see if it can connect to a separate network connection, i.e. a hotspot or other wireless network.

If the console is capable of connecting to a hotspot or other network, but not your home network, then the current router hardware or firmware may be experiencing technical difficulties.

If the console is not capable of connecting to another network, the console would then be the cause of the problem and may involve
sending in the console for repair.

Try the above mentioned for us and then please feel free to let us know the results.

    Best wishes!

Just want to give a update on my situation: I activated ipv6 on my router and my xbox one s was able to connect to my wifi. After a day or two I received the same problem again and got disconnected and signed out from xbox live randomly.

I decided to try a wired connection to my xbox one s and so far I'm having no problems connecting and I have both consoles on at the same time with open nats. My original xbox is on a wireless connection. I will continue to stay on a wired connection so
I can confirm it must be a wireless issue affecting only my new xbox one s.
