Can't Connect to Wireless Network Xbox 360 E

Hi I have the latest version of the console the Xbox 360 E. When I first got it I was thrilled because it was my first upgrade from the original white console and I no longer needed my old wireless adapter because the E has built in wi-fi.

For the first few weeks everything was fine and I could connect through wi-fi effortlessly. I stopped playing my xbox for a time and next time I tried to get onto xbox live wirelessly I couldn't. So ever since I've been using a wired connection just fine, but
I only have 4 ports in the back of my router so It's kind of tedious to unplug my xbox when I need to use another computer in the house etc.

I don't get any error code, just this message:

"To use a wireless Internet connection, connect an Xbox 360 Wireless Networking Adapter to your console"

every-time I click on wireless in the available networks screen on my xbox 360.

My wireless works fine, as I'm able to connect other computers as well as my phone to it without a problem.

Not sure what could be causing the issue.

I bought a black 360 today and it won't connect to the wireless network I've been using on my previous 360. It says my xbox can't connect to the wireless network.

This sound like the built in Wi-Fi adapter is faulty and the system doesn't recognize it. Please go to
http://myservice.xbox.com or call support to book your console for repair.

This may be a genuin hardware error, but before you send your console in for repair, try the following method.

Unplug the power supply for your console and have your console powered off for 10 minutes.

Reconnect everything back and try connect the Xbox to your WLAN.
