    Hello there!

    1: Try disconnecting the modem an reconnecting it.

    2: If that fails to help, check your wireless network settings on the console.

    If these do not work, feel free to chat with Xbox Ambassadors or Xbox Support!

    Someone should be able to walk you through fixing it! Can't connect to wireless...IP address Error :)

    Greetings flem!

    If you haven't already, reset your console's network settings to factory defaults.

    Browse to Xbox network settings and select Configure Network. Select the
    Additional settings tab and then, Restore network settings to factory defaults. Restart your console and reconfigure Xbox wireless settings.

    If you're still stuck, please provide some more information, so that we can better understand your situation. Please read:

    START HERE!     And post back in full detail (the bits in bold).

    Post back and let us know how that goes.

    Hi,

    No DNS is not the issue here its just that you can't connect to the wireless network at all, until you can connect to the network it won't get an ip address or a DNS address, even if you manually enter an address it won't help because it isn't connected
    to the wireless network.

    The router issues the Xbox an ip address and DNS settings, but it won't until has connected to the network first which it can't at the moment.

    IP Address Error

    I am using a wired connection, I just tried the wireless (I didn't plan to use wireless at all, I just wanted to see if that worked). But, when using wireless, I get a different error. The one that I want to get resolved is the IP Address Error. I have done
    all the little tricks with resetting the xbox, and the internet. It keeps saying that the test failed and it can't obtain an IP address from my router or modem. I will post the error report results in a second.
