Can't connect to some game servers

A few games, namely Titanfall, Rainbow Six Siege and Halo 5 are unplayable online for me. Every few games, it kicks me from the lobby or doesn't connect me to any servers. This doesn't happen with Battlefield 4, ESO, Battlefront or Destiny.

Strangely, this is fixed by doing a hard reset or disconnecting and reconnecting to my WiFi.

All the necessary ports are open and the WiFi signal to my xbox is at it's maximum, I also have an open NAT.

Can't connect to game servers

The Xbox will use the connection it's getting from your router. Here's a few things to try.

Hard reset the Xbox by holding down the power button on the front of the Xbox for 15 seconds. After the 15 seconds let go of the power button then restart the Xbox.

Try out your games.

If that fails, then power cycle your network by unplugging the power to the modem & router for about 60 seconds. Then plug your router back in and try your game again.

Go to Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate MAC Address > Clear > let the Xbox Restart

Try out your games again.

If that doesn't work, I'm guessing you're using a wireless connection to your router.

On your Xbox go to Settings > Network > Network Settings > Forget Wireless Network

Go to Advanced settings > DNS Settings > Manual - Set the Primary DNS as 8.8.8.8 and the Secondary as 8.8.4.4

Go to Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate MAC Address > Clear > let the Xbox Restart

After the Xbox Restarts go back and reconnect to your Wireless Network and try your game again.

If that fails, consider resetting your router back to defaults.

Can't connect to game servers

My Xbox one is connected to the internet,my NAT type is open and multiplayer is good and yet I can not connect to any game servers. It is very annoying. It happened after my Xbox live ran out. When I went to put the new card on it just kept acting up.

Best thing would be try it wired to see if its a wireless problem or not , you could also change the wireless channel and see if that helps ....some routers (mostly arris ) have "known issues" with xbox one , if you list your modem and router we can check
that ...also , you don't show as "gold" do you play on a different profile ?

I just tried wired as a suggestion from another forum, but sadly with no luck.

This is my main profile, I have gold on it.

My router is the Netgear D6300.

Well , as you can see , you show as silver on this forum, not gold...maybe go in and delete the profile and then re download it ...If still no , I would call support , I'm on my phone and don't have the number but I think it's. 1800469 9269

My problem is connection to a select few game servers, not logging into my gold account. I can connect to xbox live and use gold privileges, the only thing I can't do is connect to Halo and Rainbow Six frequently without a hard reset.

maybe those servers are having the same problem this site has , you don't show as gold...look at your name and look at mine , your silver , I'm gold ....something isn't right ...

I tried re downloading my profile and going into my other siblings' gold accounts but the same game servers are not letting me in consistently.

It might just be the servers if its been happening recently. Both last night and the night before I've had issues, can't connect to servers error, and the game freezing. Seems to happen around 12am pst for some reason

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear about the issue with the network connectivity on the Xbox One X.

I recommend to try Clearing the Mac addresses on the Xbox.

Check out these articles:

I get an error message when I run the ‘Test network connection’ on Xbox One.

Try this:

Select Settings on the Xbox
Select Network
Select Network Settings
Select Advance Settings
Alternate Mac address
Select Clear
Select Restart

This step will restart the console. When it reboots, Select Network >Select Network Settings > Set up wireless network.

Try this out and let us know the results.

Hey Griffin thanks for keeping in touch and for the patience!

We are sincerely sorry this issue is re-occurring but the authentication error is on the ISP side, its sort of like a two step verification deal, so the work around would be to accept the terms from a different device (phone or tablet) then take the MAC
address from it and input it into the console. Give it a shot and let us know how it goes!
