can't connect to some friends on xbl

So I can't connect to one of my friends on xbl. both our nats are open and we only have been getting this problem the last few days. I have 2 xbox's and cant connect to him on either but I tried connecting to him on my nephews and was able to connect. all
3 xboxs were using the same internet so I don't think the problem is with the motem or sevice provider or anything like that. I think this is a problem with xbox. Please help

i'm in the same boat. Some apps seem to work.. like Netflix, but can't see friends online. Can't play Destiny. wtf!?? Also Xbox 360 unable to connect to XBL at all.

What make and model modem do you have? You listed a router and a desktop switch. Can you connect if you go directly to the router, bypassing the switch altogether? Another thing to test is to connect directly to the modem and see if you can connect.
If you can then the issue lies within your router/switch.

so im trying to enable upnp if it isn't currently enabled but when I type my ip adress in the url all i get is internet explorer cannot display the web page
