Can't connect to signin servers.

I have not touched my xbox one in a couple of months and decided to fire it up yesterday.

It downloaded a 1.8gb system update, so it can obviously talk to whatever part of xbox live that pushes the updates.

After that, it restarted and then kept telling me to connect to live. So I select the connect option, which would then just take me to the network settings page.

All the network settings are correct.

The network and multiplayer tests both test OK.

NAT is Open.

Status says All services are available.

I can connect to live on my 360 on the same network.

After a bit over an hour with the xbox support chat, they tell me the console will have to be sent back for repair.

Has anyone else had this problem?

This is the 2nd xbox one that has been sent back under warranty now.

that the ability to join Multiplayer Games is Allowed?

Can't connect to servers.

Is the bingo servers down? I cannot connect.

 

I personally have not had this issue, but know it can be very frustrating. Let me ask two things - first, have you performed a power cycle on your console since getting the update (aside from the reboot the console did after the update)? To do this, hold
your power sensor on the console for about 8 seconds, then wait for the power brick to turn orange. At this point, unplug your console from the wall for 5-10 minutes, then plug back in and power on. See if you are able to connect to Live now.

What's really strange here is that it was obviously able to connect to the network to GET the update, it wasn't until after the update that the network failed. Since ALL of the tests are working properly, and other things on your network are working fine,
one other suggestion would be to try the "offline system update diagnostic tool." This diagnoses and tries to fix possible issues with updates that have been downloaded. To find the file and get instructions on how to use it, go here:

The last step would be to attempt a FACTORY RESET, which will actually restore all of your console's settings to factory defaults, which would alleviate any problems which are being caused by a faulty system setting. Your saves will be backed up to the cloud
in this instance, but the games will all need to be re-installed.

I have power cycled the console quite a few times over the last 2 days I have been having the problem.

It is very strange that it could download the update, and all network tests are ok, and I can connect with my 360.

I'll try the update diagnostic tool first, then try the factory reset.

Its a shame live is so slow to download from. Its gonna suck having to redownload BF4 and all the updates if I have to do a factory reset. I can only download at 1mbps, but can download off steam and origin at at least 20mbps on pc.
