Can't connect to people online, best router settings?

Hi, so if anyone reads my previous posts you will see lately I have had huge problems with connecting online.

But finally!! Last night I finally figured out how to make me stay online, by turning of the DMZ.

But this has left me with a problem, I can't connect to any games online or connect to a party with my friends. I have an open NAT, but still it doesn't work. Any help on any settings in the router or any other info would be greatly appreciated.

Need help with xbox live

My xbox(s) have been messin up lately, The wireless one used to do this alot but now my hard wired one right to the router doesnt like connecting have the time even tho we have internet going.. i think there is issues with XBL period lately. Best bet man is unplug your router and modem, wait a min then plug just your modem.. let it turn on and go online, then plug in your router. reset ur box and see if it works

Can't connect to my router

I'm having the same problem. I can't figure out why. Everything else seems to be fine. I've rebooted in all possible permutations of order. I have called my cable company and had them refresh the line. Other wireless devices are working. Just this
xbox one won't connect. It sees it, but won't connect.

This is best to be posted in the Support forums as you will get more support and solutions of other people

But have you tried creating a static IP for your Xbox ? If you haven't you won't have much luck with DMZ as it targets a specific IP to put outside the network to directly connect to the internet.

Even though you have an open NAT you might want to check your ports if you havent already

If you create a static IP you might first want to try port forwarding if you haven't already as it's safer than using DMZ

You can find more information and might find help on your specific router

The ports you need to open are

Port 88 (UDP)

Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)

Port 53 (UDP and TCP)

Port 80 (TCP)

It could be that your ISP blocks certain ports by default though usually it's the 88 and 80 port

If the above option doesn't work try adding your Xbox IP to your DMZ again and restart the router

If the portforwarding does not work, you can try to put your Xbox on DMZ mode, this will place it outside of the network to connect directly to the internet.

DMZ should be found under the advanced options with the firewall settings (if you have this, all routers are different)

But seeing how many issues you're having with the software of this router and after a quick search online seeing that a lot of people have issues with 7500series to where they can't even open the port forward page I think it's best to get a new router from
your ISP like you suggested

As useful as a hotspot is in some cases it is not the best for online games. You may not be able to connect to Live because your connection's network ports are being limited or blocked by your ISP. On a router, it is possible to adjust these settings but on a phone, I am afraid it is not possible.

Netgear: B90-755044-15. All ports you listed are forwarded. I think it is a problem with my xbox now. Now it can't get an IP address from the router on a wired connection at all. The router sees the xbox when I go into the router settings. I have to connect
wirelessly now and that is a mystery if it will connect everytime I start the xbox. It is becomming quite a chore to get online now.

I need help. I have my Xbox connected to my cable box which wirelessly connect to a router and I can sign into my live account and do everything except play with people online, I can't create a match or join one
