Can’t connect to party

I have a Xbox live account with a years gold I recently tried to play Morden warfare 3 which is backwards compatible but it kept saying my account was not aloud to play Xbox live so basically saying I don’t have it then I tried to join my friends party on
Xbox one and it says I don’t haven Xbox live giving me this code 0x89231022 which means it has ran out but then I checked it to see he how long until it expires and it said in a years time and now everytime I try to join a party it keeps making me to buy more
xbox live Gold when i already have gold but everything else works like YouTube and I can still play with my mates so my Xbox live has not run out so if someone can please help me

Does it only happen on Xbox 360 games? How? recently have you renewed your subscription? If it's recently I would hard restart your Xbox by powering it down and unplugging it from the wall for 10 seconds and restart and try to join the party again.

Can’t join party chat at all tonight, just says connecting for everyone in the party. Hopefully it’s because they are working on a fix.

When I invite someone to party or join someone it says connecting and then it’s will say party chat disconnected and then I can’t join any of my friends does any one know how to fix?

This happens when something happens to your connection and maybe Xbox Live, but can’t be too sure maybe start a new party and see if it happens again and hope that there isn’t an error.

Can’t join a party?

If you can’t join an Xbox LIVE party, try the following solutions.

Solution 1: Have everyone in the party test their Xbox LIVE connection
Someone in your party might have a Network Address Translation (NAT) problem. To find out, have everyone test their connection. Here’s how:

Press the Guide button on your controller, go to Settings, and then select System Settings.
Select Network Settings.
Select Wired Network or your wireless network name (if you are prompted to do so).
Select Test Xbox LIVE Connection.

A NAT warning appears as a yellow exclamation point:

If someone has a NAT warning: Have your friend try the solutions in the following article: Error: Your NAT type is set to strict (or moderate).

Solution 2: Use a broadband connection
You might experience problems joining parties if you are using a satellite connection or a 4G mobile broadband connection. We recommend using a broadband cable, DSL, or fiber Internet connection.
