Can't connect to own account on Xbox One

to achieve that each user will need their own Xbox Live Account(s) (Microsoft account and seperate email)

If that currently isn't the case that it's advised that each person has their own account.

One downside though is that any achievements save games etc, can't be transferred to another account. (Some games like Fortnite have progress connected to seperate accounts, which can be connected to a different Xbox Live Account)

Unfortunately this is not possible and since your email is a Microsoft email (Live, Hotmail or Outlook) you can't switch the email to another one and have the account not be connected to that email anymore, technically.

You can switch the login emails around but you CAN'T switch TO a Microsoft email when you do this (Live, Hotmail or Outlook). You can switch to another email provider but you can't switch between Microsoft emails as they're permanently connected to that
account they were created on. For example, you can't switch this account's email login to another Microsoft account because that email is attached to a Microsoft account already.

The only solution is to start over and have him create a new account and have the account that owns all the games to be set as the my home xbox account on the xbox one so that the new account can play all the games that account owns BUT the saves and any
progress will not move over and some DLC will not share, also.

Anything you own will show as owned in the Xbox store or appear in your purchase history. If you can't find the game then it means it's not owned by your account and was most likely redeemed on another one.

I am not aware that I have a child account, I never created it like that nor are there any 'parents' connected to my account. So it can't be a child account.

What do you mean with try another account? If I switch to another account I don't have any games on there, and as I said earlier, I do not own an Xbox One, I'm on Windows.

Are you sharing a Gold membership from someone else? Gold memberships do not transfer from the Xbox One to Xbox 360 online play. In order to play BC games on the Xbox One you would still need to have your own Gold membership.

If you do have your own Gold membership then perhaps your account has been corrupted. Follow the instructions at the video link below to delete and redownload your gamertag from the BC menu.

I can't redownload my account when the BC 360 dashboard says can't connect to Xbox live. Also, yes gold share does apply to 360 games
