Can't connect to one of my friends

Right, I know there are probably ton's of forums up about this but we have both tried everything.

Both our NAT's are open, and even if one of us had a closed NAT we'd still connect.

We have both un-friended and re-friended each other, multiple times.

We have both cleared the system cache, multiple times.

We have both reset the connection to factory default, multiple times.

We have both re-downloaded our profiles.

We have both tried using manual internet settings too. But still nothing.

We have tried joining each others private chat, and party chat and it won't work.

We live in the same area, and both of us can connect to all of our other friends, most of which do live in the same area as us too.

It never ever used to do this, it started recently, over the Easter holiday. We could really really do with any help, so any ideas that we haven't yet tried would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance.

Can't connect to my friend

So I have been playing Xbox One for a while and I never have this occur to me, but the situation is that I can connect to my friend through party but I am not able to connect to him in games. I can play multiplayer games and join any party but I just can't
join him or him me. For example games like Rainbow 6 Siege, or 7 Days to Die we would have to have someone else to join to play with each other. We both live in the same apartment complex and assumed that using the same internet was probably the issue but
it didn't make sense so we eventually ended up port forwarding our Xbox's to see if that could fix the issue and it did not. At this point we assume it is something with one of our Xbox's. Any help would be great! Thank you.

Can't connect to my friend

have you tried checking to ensure both Xbox are on Open NAT? Also check individual ports for those particular games as some games require additional ports to play without issues. Hope this helps

Hey Boosh!

You've done the majority of our troubleshooting for this issue, and sorry they haven't worked so far. Have you also set up Port Forwarding? Ensuring the correct
ports are enabled on your network may help.

This is a huge problem with Xbox. It happens all the time with two of my friends. One day I can connect to one of them. The next, can not. I hate this, I can't play games with my friends now. We all have open connection, I port forwarded and have done everything.
He can't do those things (doesnt know how to) but he has open connection.

And how about one of my american friends does the host, who I and the other player (who I can't connect to) can connect to that American player?

It's not your internet provider. It has something to do with Xbox Live. I can't connect with my friend. As you've probably read already, on my 360 my NAT is open but on the Xbox One it's at strict. We connected in party chat on day one but since had problems.
Only other time we connected is when my friend reset his router. You can try that but it's not a permanent fix.

I'm not entirely sure you're able to play two games at the same time using the same ownership - that would be my guess onnthe issue

We never had issues before until just recently, also we can both play the games, we just can't play together.
