Can't connect to multiplayer, Horizon 5 keeps asking me to purchase Game Pass to play...

I greatly appreciate the reply. I thought I had game pass ultimate but apparently I must have changed my sub to regular by accident by purchasing a card for regular game pass.

If your suscription is Game pass for console, this one does not includes Xbox Live Gold so you would need either to upgrade to game pass ultimate or get Xbox live gold

Is it asking you for an Xbox Live Gold subscription? If yes, it is required to play a paid online multiplayer game such as Forza Horizon 5.

The game is linked to your account even if you cancel the subscription

So if you cancel the subscription you're going to lose access to the game pass library

If you want a brief example:

You are playing Forza Horizon 5 included in Game Pass, but you really like the game and you decide to buy Forza Horizon 5 Premium Edition (not the upgrade, the full base game + DLC'S)

When you cancel the subscription, you're going to be able to keep playing Forza Horizon 5 due to you already purchased it

thank you for answering, I just want to double check if I purchase Forza Horizon 4 for PC, I can play the multiplayer w/out buying an Xbox live game pass? all I need is an internet connection & the license for the game?
