Can't Connect to Live

It's been a while since I used my XBox One, so I figured I would actually use the 14 day Gold trial I got when I pre-ordered the limited edition Halo 5 game and console. However, when I tried to get on to Live to play Destiny, which I recently bought, it
said I was unable to connect to Live even though I had a very good Internet connection and had used the trial code at least half an hour beforehand. I also tried to look at my achievements and manage my profile, but it said that there was a problem and to
try again without specifying.

I started troubleshooting. My connection to my router was fine and so was my connection to multiplayer. XBox Live said that everything should be working on the status page. I tried hard restarting a few times and even reset to factory (and I hope that I
didn't just erase all my save files, because I put a lot of time in Fallout 4, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, and a few others). This worked, but upon returning to my console an hour later, I was unable to connect to XBox Live again. I finally decided to restart
my modem and my router, but this did nothing. If it makes any difference, I currently have Destiny: The Taken King and all the Fallout 4 DLC's queued up for downloading, but when I was downloading Halo 5, which is significantly bigger than what I have queued
up now, I was never disconnected from Live.

Did my console crap out on me while I was on hiatus? How can I fix this?

Can't connect to live.

Hi,

I'm having a very frustrating time with my brand new xbox one s at the moment. I last used it 2 days ago and had no problems, today I try and use it and am told that it can't connect to xbox live.

I've gone through all the trouble shooting pages, turning my router off and on, reseting my router to factory settings, allowing my xbox's MAC address to not be filtered in my router and still nothing works.

All other wifi devices in my house are using my internet perfectly fine.

Any help with this would be extremely appreciated!

I have Gold until 6/7/2017 but I've been trying to play online black ops 3 but it says this profile isn't allowed to play online. Please help

 

So, First question.

Was there an error code that was shown when you tried to activate Xbox live?

 

There was no error code. It said it was redeemed and had been activated.

 

Also, I was able to connect to Live on my XBox 360, and it even says that I have the 14 day Gold trial.

 

I am unable to connect to live yet again, it seems Xbox has a habit of randomly disconnecting from live with no error code, my problem is that the console says Xbox services are having issues, and the disconnect seems to happen the same day I'm playing or
hours later, good luck on getting someone to respond to you dude, I'm still waiting

 

try logging out of your account and logging back in

 

I had the same problem the last few days and there was no solution what so ever. Apparently it just magically fixes itself according to other users. What do you know, they were right. I just tested after being down for days and it had magically fixed
itself. I suspect this happens if the Live network is overloaded or something, but that is just a guess. Just give it some time and it will fix itself.

 

Sometimes this can be fixed by simply signing out on the xbox and signing back in. If that doesn't fix it, try removing your live account from the xbox and re-adding it, which can be done by following these steps:

support.xbox.com/.../remove-profile-from-console

 

This annoys me to no end, but signing out and signing back in magically fixed my connection problem!
