Can't connect to live when internet is working

Try to perform a power cycle to your console by following these steps:

1. Unplug the power cable from the back of the router, modem, or gateway for 5 minutes. If you have a router and a modem, unplug the power cable from both devices.
   
2. Restart your console. Press and hold the Xbox button in the center of your controller to open the Power Centre. Select Restart console and then select Restart. (If the console appears to be frozen, press and hold the Xbox button on the console for 10 seconds, until the console turns off. After the console shuts down, touch the Xbox button on the console again to restart.)
   
3. After 5 minutes, plug the modem or gateway in first, and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.
   
4. If you are using a router, plug in the router and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

What error message appears to you when trying to connect to Live?

Also, follow this step in the console and restart your internet devices.
Press the Guide button  on your controller, select Settings, and select System Settings.
Select Network Settings.
Select the name of your wireless network when the network list is displayed.
Select Configure Network.
On the Additional Settings tab, select Restore to Factory Defaults. When prompted, select Yes, Restore to Factory Defaults. This resets the console's network settings only.
Restart your console.

Yeah I can't either connect to Xbox live. I did the connection test and restored settings and all that stuff, still doesn't work. Worked fine when i played in the morning, but after Xbox live went down I can't even connect to internet from my Xbox.

First when testing i couldn't connect to internet but now i can't connect to xbox live so i did something but it didn't work i'm now tryin to disconnect my modem to reset

My Internet is available... Microsoft your services are not.... This is why an always connected device will never work. Let the gamers play when you can't live up to your end of the deal.
