Can't connect to Live. SECURITY PROOFS

You may have a problem with Account security proofs if your Xbox connects to net but you can't sign into XBLive.

The email account I've deleted isn't the account used for my live address (which is a hotmail one).

The deleted email account was an old address I had used for the security proofs (the only security proof that was setup and was jm****@bt****.com).

Effectively I can't add any new proofs for 30days until they all reset.

I can't stop the reset of the proofs because it wants to send a verification to the non-existent email address.

I can't access the old security proof email address (the account has been deleted).

I can't log in to xbox live due to be unable to add new proofs.

I had the same issue before when trying to connect to Xbox LIVE.

Xbox now ask for
Security Proofs when logging into your Xbox LIVE account.

If you get the following error message when you try to buy or download content from Xbox LIVE, there may be a problem with your network configuration or a temporary problem with Xbox LIVE:

Solution 2: Check the status of the Xbox LIVE service

The Xbox LIVE service might be unavailable due to system maintenance. Check the status of the Xbox LIVE service. If there’s an Xbox LIVE service alert, wait 72 hours and then try to purchase or download the content again.

If there are no Xbox LIVE service alerts and you continue to get the error, try the next solution.

Solution 3: Test your connection

Test the Xbox LIVE connection on your Xbox 360 console. Here's how:

1.Press the Guide button on your controller.

2.Go to settings and then System Settings.

3.Select Network Settings.

4.Select Wired Network or the name of your wireless network, if you are prompted.

5.Select Test Xbox LIVE Connection.

6.Do one of the following: ◦If the test fails and you can't connect to Xbox LIVE, see Xbox LIVE: Connect to Xbox LIVE.

◦If the Xbox LIVE service is available, try the next solution.

◦If there is an Xbox LIVE service alert, try again later when the Xbox LIVE service is available.

If you still get the error, try the next solution.

Solution 4: Update the security proofs for your Microsoft Account

To resolve this issue, verify and, if necessary, add security proofs to your Microsoft Account. For example, verify the security proofs for your account and then add a new email address or phone number. For information about how to manage the security proofs
for your Microsoft Account, see Get help with your Microsoft Account security proofs.

After you verify and update the security proofs for your Microsoft Account, sign in to Xbox LIVE and try to purchase or download the content again.
