Can't connect to Live despite having good connection

Ok now I'm boiling over. I finally, after several attepts, got the option "use offline" and was able to start a freaking race in Forza. After the first turn, not 1 minute of playing, the game stops and restarts. Now I don't see the offline option again.

This is NOT a gaming console, this is a your-***-from-behind console. I can't even begin to express the level of ***-off I've reached.

 

i cant get passed the sign in page at all on my new xbox one, do you have to sign in to play a game, i was wanting to hit the halo campaign for a wee bit but cant even do that

yup same problem, It first would let me on live i was like okay cool what ever i wanted to continue playing my halo2 campaign anyways so i was playing that for a while went down stairs to eat came back up it signed me out so i tried signing back in and go
the error code now it won't even let me sign in to play a offline campaign. Got to complement Microsoft great job putting a product out on the market that always has issues and great job by 343 for selling me a game that doesn't function properly even when
the xbox works!!

This thread is over a year old, and it's most likely that the problems you're experiencing are quite different.

For those of you replying today, there is an ongoing connection issue with the Xbox Live service that would explain the issues you're having signing in and playing online games.

I'm afraid the best advice I can give all of you at the moment is to keep checking the
Xbox Live Status page and, if you're from the US, subscribe to phone or text notifications to be notified when the service is restored.

I know it's not an ideal solution, especially not today when everyone's wanting to enjoy their new console/games, but it's out of our hands at this moment. Fortunately, there are Xbox Staff hard at work (and away from their families today) to help restore
the service so we can enjoy our new gifts.

If any of you continue to have trouble after the service is restored, please create a new thread detailing your exact issue, any error codes you're receiving, and all troubleshooting steps you've tried.

 

Hey there Tiiimmmaayy, there is an Xbox Live outage today affecting most users on Xbox One (and earlier, also Xbox 360).

That page is updated frequently and will tell you when the Service has been restored.

When the Service is back, that should put an end to your issues. However, if for whatever reason your problems persist please post back here and let us know so we can try to help you resolve them.

 

The days when you could just plug in a console, shove a game in the tray/pop a cartridge into a slot seem a distant memory.

Even attempting to find a game that can be played offline is a chore if it has any sort of verification process to go through or any dlc attached to it.

 

Yep, on Dec 1st Lizard Squad promised to knock out service for Xbox & PlayStation. Another hacker group came together under the name "The Finest Squad" to try and identify Lizard Squad and stop these attacks. Several members of Lizard Squad were arrested
and personal information was posted on the internet. The Finest Squad also provided Microsoft and Sony a list of system vulnerabilities needing to be addressed to foil future attacks. It’s obvious that wasn't enough to stop these A-Holes.

 

I've owned the One since day one and this would be the fourth time my Xbox didn't work all day. Microsoft fixes it temporarily, says sorry and goes on their way. What? No retribution at all like a free month of Xbox live added or Microsoft points for dealing
with this crap randomly? Thanks Xbox, seriously thinking of trading in for PS4

Trade in for a PS4? The same thing is happening to Playstation Network. It's a hacker group called Lizard Squard. They hit both Xbox Live and PSN.

 

Yeah it's pretty annoying that I got a new xbox one for myself and I can't even connect it to Xbox live or even just sign into the *** thing so I'm stuck still playing on my old 360. This sucks.
