Can't Connect to Live Despite Good Network Connection?

Hi,

I know this seems to be a common issue - basically I can't connect to live on the XB1 but network settings show it's connected and not showing any problems. All the pins etc disappear and clicking on the 'connect to live' tab makes the sound but doesn't
do anything else. This happens fairly regularly (probably once a fortnight) but is usually solved by switching the console off and on again once or twice.

However this time I can't find a solution, it's been like this for 4 days now which is annoying when I've recently renewed my Gold membership!!

I've tried a hard reset (unplugging power from box for 10 mins), tried clearing the MAC address (as suggested in another post on here), tried disabling and reconnecting to the wireless network, smartphone & laptop still work fine on wifi so no issues with
the router.

Not really sure what else I can try!?

Unable to Connect to Internet During Startup

Hi,

I recently bought an Xbox one s, however, I haven't been able to enjoy it because it can't complete setup due to the fact that it can't connect to my network. I use Time Warner and one of their modems. I've tried both wired and wireless. When attempting
to connect wired, it can't find the cable, despite being a good cable. When connecting to wireless, it will restart automatically as soon as it attempts to connect.

Cant connect to Xbox live.

I can't connect, either. I live in the upper Midwest, and according to downdetector, that's where a large number of people are reporting Live connection issues. ISP is good, network is good, everything but the Xbox connects just fine. Hell, the Xbox even
states that it has Internet connectivity, just can't connect to Live. So yeah, either a DDoS attack, or someone spilled coffee on the server bank in Chicago...

 

Have you tried resetting the router ? Do you have open may?

Sorted now, really easy fix.

Just had to sign out of the live account and then sign in again - not really sure why or how that made any difference but it connected immediately when I signed back in!
