    Can’t connect to lan worlds


    My brothers and I have been trying to join each other’s worlds on our phones, but it hasn’t been working since about September last year. We are all signed into our accounts, we tried logging out and back in, we all have the same version, and nothing is working.

    We can connect to external servers, but the only time we can connect to each other’s worlds is if we are on seperate wifi. We have checked ours of any issues and its all working properly and to what the game needs. When we try to join, it says “unable to connect to world”. I have been looking around everywhere for a solid solution and I haven’t gotten a straight answer for problems with specifically the mobile version of Minecraft.
    Again, we have tried everything, and nothing seems to work. Can anyone shed some light on this situation? It would be awesome!

    I'd recommend you to contact the Xbox Support directly in that case. But given that this is happening on Minecraft Java, it has to be fixed with the Minecraft Support.

    This is an interesting situation, but by the looks of it, if it started to happen after both of your migrated your accounts, it is most likely that this has something to do with Privacy Settings on your Microsoft Account. Follow these steps for both accounts:

    1. Access this page: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?LinkId=746875

    2. Select Xbox One/Windows 10 Online Safety tab. Change the follow settings:

    To play Minecraft Online (or LAN), you need to set the You can play with people outside of Xbox Live, You can create and join clubs, and You can join multiplayer games safety settings to Allow.

    3. Select Submit on the end of the page.
