Can't Connect to Game Servers

I had this problem when I first got my Xbox one X back in June. Offline games work fine. I can connect to xbox live just fine. But when I launch a game that has to connect to a server it crashes to the dashboard. Then if I launch a game again it says the
data is corrupt. Eventually, after trying every troubleshooting solution I could find I fixed it by enabling Ipv6. I never use instant on because I heard there were issues with that. Then, I needed to download RDR2 so I renabled it. Now, I have the same problem
again. I've tried EVERYTHING! Port forward, disabling ipv6 and renabling it, rebooting everything, resetting the system, disabling QOS, enabling upnp, I don't know what to do. My PS4 and switch all work fine. I've tried static ip, dhcp, I don't even know what
else. I don't know what else to do.

Can't connect to game servers

The Xbox will use the connection it's getting from your router. Here's a few things to try.

Hard reset the Xbox by holding down the power button on the front of the Xbox for 15 seconds. After the 15 seconds let go of the power button then restart the Xbox.

Try out your games.

If that fails, then power cycle your network by unplugging the power to the modem & router for about 60 seconds. Then plug your router back in and try your game again.

Go to Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate MAC Address > Clear > let the Xbox Restart

Try out your games again.

If that doesn't work, I'm guessing you're using a wireless connection to your router.

On your Xbox go to Settings > Network > Network Settings > Forget Wireless Network

Go to Advanced settings > DNS Settings > Manual - Set the Primary DNS as 8.8.8.8 and the Secondary as 8.8.4.4

Go to Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate MAC Address > Clear > let the Xbox Restart

After the Xbox Restarts go back and reconnect to your Wireless Network and try your game again.

If that fails, consider resetting your router back to defaults.

 

Can't connect to game servers

My Xbox one is connected to the internet,my NAT type is open and multiplayer is good and yet I can not connect to any game servers. It is very annoying. It happened after my Xbox live ran out. When I went to put the new card on it just kept acting up.

I'm sorry to hear that happened. Now, there's a few things we would like to be clarified. Are the games you experience this issue with all digital, or do you own the disc version? Also, by stating you've reset the system; Do you mean you've attempted
to do the Factory Reset to the Xbox One?

One thing that could be attempted is to add your console's MAC address to the Modem/router you have.

Get your console's MAC address. Here's how:

1. On Xbox Home, navigate to the left until you reach Pins.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select Network.
4. Select Advanced Settings.
5. Write down your Wireless MAC address.

To change MAC filtering settings on your router, refer to your router documentation or the hardware manufacturer's website. If you change your router's MAC filtering settings, restart your router before trying to connect to Xbox Live.

Yes. As a matter of fact, they are all digital. I have done the factory reset and cleared the mac address.

It doesn't look like MAC filtering is enabled on my router.

 

try removing the account from the console, doing a hard restart, hold the power button for 10 seconds while the system is on, and then re-adding the account

 

This didn’t work either.

 

I am seriously just about done with this thing. I never had any issues with my original xbox one. My ps4 and switch are fine. I dont know how i fixed it the first time but i though ipv6 resolved it. Now it is doing it again after enabling instant on for
1 night. It is an authentication or network issue of some kind I think.

We are sincerely sorry this issue is re-occurring but the authentication error is on the ISP side, its sort of like a two step verification deal, so the work around would be to accept the terms from a different device (phone or tablet) then take the MAC
address from it and input it into the console. Give it a shot and let us know how it goes!

 

Would you please clarify? How would i accept terms from a different device?

 

Mac filtering is disabled on my router already too.

I recommend to try Clearing the Mac addresses on the Xbox.

Try this:

• Select Settings on the Xbox
• Select Network
• Select Network Settings
• Select Advance Settings
• Alternate Mac address
• Select Clear
• Select Restart

This step will restart the console. When it reboots, Select Network >Select Network Settings > Set up wireless network.

Try this out and let us know the results.

 

I’ve done this multiple times already. I’m using a wired connection though. I also tried a wireless connection.
