Can't Connect to Destiny.

I have the same issue, but according to my friends, one of them is playing right now but I can't

 

still not working - getting the 80151912 code which is not listed at all....wow microsoft and bungie, think you guys would figured this out prelaunch.....better get it back up and running asap or i'm getting my guaranteed 30 bucks back from Gamestop asap...
Why make it have to be connected to xbox live to play anyway?? Sure you could have made a single player mode that doesn't require internet at all times.....especially since you didn't put in any chat capabilities unless in fire team, so everyone runs around
like a deaf/mute pointing and dancing with strangers....point being, FIX IT!!!

Sorry to hear about the 80151912 error code issues. If are continuing to experience this error code, please try a few troubleshooting steps to see if we can get this issue sorted.

Please give the following steps a try:

• First, try Clearing your Xbox 360 system cache 3 times.
  
• Press the power button on your Xbox 360 console to power off your console.
  
• Press the power button again to power on your console.
• Once your console is powered on, try playing Destiny to see if the issue occurs again.
  

Give the suggested steps a try and if the issue continues, please let us know.

 

I tried doing the uninstall/reinstall, now can't use the items from the preorder, what do I do to get them back? Also it did not fix the sign out problem either.

 

Same here i can play for like 5 min or so then signs me out of Xbox live.......i have tried everything on the internet and this site i can, and nothing is working. I have tried to delete and re-download my profile, rebooting my internet, direct connecting
the Xbox and wireless, unplugging my Xbox, deleting the catch, heck the only thing i have not done is bought a new one. It all started for me when i got the new 360 system update and playing cod now its just out of hand.......

 

So... Any word on this?

I don't want to be the only one of my friends that can play this game. It keeps happening to a bunch of my friends. Can't finish anything.

 

Microsoft support told me to do some port openings, tried and none of it work. I'm using wireless internet through xfinity (Comcast). Does anyone know if Bungie or Microsoft will fix the issue?

 

Having the same issue here but with other games as wel and this has gone on for almost a year now..l it's almost as if matchmaking is rendered completely useless for 360 users, now that the xbox one is out....if this is some kind of ploy to get people to
switch to an xbox one...let's just say it's very distasteful to treat paying customers this way especially since we still have to pay in order to play online ,which we can't if this keeps up..

I think i've tried just about anything right about now and setting my ip to static didn't seem to help either....i am honestly at my wits end with the xbox in general asking myself the question why do i even bother...

 

Mine isn't working today! It says I must be connected to Xbox live and I have signed in and out multiple times. Is the server down??
