Can't connect to any games

Hi,

I cannot connect to any games because of my avoid me reputation. I have posted in the '11' forum section for this however it has been just under 3 days and my post hadn't been approved or denied. I feel like I am being ignored here. I have been on support
chat numerous times and I am getting no where . What seems to be a simple issue is causing me a lot of grief and time wasting.

I thought I should post here as it is a much more active forum and I might actually get a response. All the support agents have put numerous notes on my account if you need to look into it .

Can't connect to any multiplayer game

Hey,

Since a couple of days ago I can't seem to connect to any multiplayer game, I've tested: COD Black Ops 3, COD Ghosts and Battlefield 1 trial.

All games presumably start normally and than after a few seconds (before actually joining any game) I get a message saying I was disconnected from the server.

I didn't change my network settings, my router configuration or my internet ISP...

Any ideas?

Can't connect to any game servers.

I suddenly can't connect to game servers anymore, i only own 2 multiplayer games, Killer Instinct and Battlefront, I can play multiplayer on KI but it won't register my leaderboard score anymore, I can't login to the EA servers anymore on Battlefront either,
also, the Xbox homescreen is kinda laggy and pictures of news or new info wont load properly, indicating that it's not the game servers, rather than my network or hardware/system, any ideas on whats happening or how to solve it?

Hey Ky thanks for brining this issue to us! This sounds like it could be a NAT issue so we suggest trying out our

NAT Troubleshooter and let us know how it goes. Regarding the Port Forwarding check out
Portforward.com or get in contact with Netgear since they would be able to further assist with it!!

Open NAT type is always going to give you best connection to servers/games.

The number of people using the router can also affect it as the router could possibly be getting overloaded.

And the firewalls in place could also be stopping you. you will need access to the router to check firewall settings.

some games require certain ports to be open so checking with the game website could help you get some more information.

maybe speaking with I.T/TECH department at your uni/college might help as they will know more on the setups they have in place.

if you have moved from one i.p to another clearing your alternate mac address could help you significantly, go to settings-network settings-advanced-alternate mac-clear (your xbox will restart)

Hi SYN DemonWolf,

Thanks for reaching out to us in the forums for this issue. As you've indicated that you're in a dorm, you'll need to get in touch with your person in charge of the network hardware to get yourself set up in a situation in order to have the server
connectivity dedicated. As there are likely others trying to get squared away with getting multiplayer connection for their consoles, you may also need to set up a static IP and port forward to accomplish this. Regarding the UPnP issue, that is part of the
router settings for your internet source.

If the previous suggestions are not working, you can try to have Instant On turned off and Power Saving turned on. This makes your console take longer to start when you want to play it but refreshes the UPnP when it is starting up to help certain routers
setup your NAT. I know it is not ideal but I have seen people use it as a work around for routers that may be hosting multiple Xbox systems and may not have the latest UPnP technology.
