Can't connect to any games, streaming apps work fine

I'm exhausted. Been hard resetting, disconnecting, fiddling with settings all day.

It's not my modem and the owner is dragging their butt in accessing numbers and I don't have a laptop.

I've been having an issue since a new modem arrived where every morning when I turn on the xbox, it won't connect to live. Then after a few minutes will sign me out. Internet works fines on all other devices.

Usually with a combination of modem resets, hard restarts and deleting altnate mac address will allow it to sync up and after a few tries it'll connect and I can play with little drama until the next morning.

Today the Internet was very dicey. And now no matter what I do (connect via wireless or ethernet) I can't log into any game. Even very simple online games that require little speed. I've been at it for hours and I'm exhausted and overwhelmed. I'm not very
tech literate so if anyone has the patience to help I need very simple answers and descriptions.

At the moment all tests come back saying it's working fine. But usually when I have the morning error it's either DHCP or Toredo related.

So if you could change the modem: Maybe the only solution could be
Change Power Settings Start up cost more time but XBOX alwas get new values for the Internet connection!

I've done as suggested above and (attempted) to forward the ports. I'll know in the coming days if I was successful, but it turns out the whole Optus network was on the fritz. I'll be taking it up with Optus. Thank you for your advice 🙏&#55356;�

I've had a similar issue a long ago, turns out that I had to open ports for Xbox live in my modem, so I contacted my ISP and they guided me on how to do it properly.

Is there a way I can do that without being the account holder or without having a computer?

As said, the person who owns the modem is being uncooperative.

Actually, you have already given yourself the answer ("I've been having an issue since a new modem arrived").

The most ISP (Internet Service Provider) expand their network and so this leads to Problems
for some weeks. But in your case you should call your ISP because I think the modem is not working proper!
