Can't connect to a specific person

Hi,

I can join multi-player games but I can't join games with a specific person. She also can join multi-player games but can't join games with me. We can join a party with each other and talk.

-On minecraft it continually searches for a server.

-In Battlefront we connect but then are immediately disconnected

We have tried the following.

-both hard reset-powercycle of xboxes

-disconnected and power cycled modem

-tried to connect with out being in a party together

This only happens between us. We can connect with other people and play other multi-player games.

Have you two checked your Xbox Live privacy settings to see if there is something that might have been changed by accident that is preventing you two from connecting?

No, different houses entirely. Yes ,plenty of internet and yes, Xbox one.

its usually NAT types that cause these problems, for best results you need to be sure you are both running an OPEN NAT type, open nat can connect with strict and moderate, but moderate and strict sometimes struggle to connect with one another.

making sure UPnP is enabled in the settings can help.

Since it seems to be happening with different games it seems like there is something with your profiles maybe restricting you two playing together. Is there any chance that one of you has accidentally muted or blocked the other in some way? Or does anyone
else have access to your accounts that might have done this on one of your accounts towards the other person?

Check to see if your NAT type is strict or moderate if it is i suggest calling your ISP and talking to them about it. Same with the other person.
