  1. Can't connect to a party since new Windows 10 update

Since the new update, my xbox app has stopped letting me connect to parties. I'm trying to get the xbox app to work. I went through all of the troubleshooting on this website, and tried to find other solutions on google.

In the command prompt, when I enter "netsh interface Teredo set state type=enterprise client" and then show state, I get this below: I am able to connect to a party for 30 seconds or maybe a minute before it kicks me.

    C:\WINDOWS\system32>netsh interface teredo show state

    Teredo Parameters

    ---------------------------------------------

    Type : enterpriseclient

    Server Name : win10.ipv6.microsoft.com.

Client Refresh Interval : 13 seconds

    Client Port : unspecified

    State : qualified

    Client Type : teredo client

    Network : unmanaged

    NAT : restricted (port)

NAT Special Behaviour : UPNP: Yes, PortPreserving: Yes

I am able to connect to a party for 30 seconds or maybe a minute before it disconnects me with the error message . Then I type show state in command prompt again and I get this:

    C:\WINDOWS\system32>netsh interface teredo show state

    Teredo Parameters

    ---------------------------------------------

    Type : enterpriseclient

    Server Name : win10.ipv6.microsoft.com.

Client Refresh Interval : 13 seconds

    Client Port : unspecified

    State : offline

Error : unable to maintain contact with primary server over UDP

When I look into the settings of the xbox app, and go to the network tab, I get this:

    Xbox multiplayer:

    NAT type: moderate

    Server connectivity: Blocked

Sometimes it'll say strict, or Teredo is unable to qualify.

I used Teredo set state type=default. did not work

I uninstalled the Teredo network adapters and reinstalled them through command prompt. did not work

I uninstalled Teredo and restarted my computer. did not work

I tried setting up a DMZ host for my pc. did not work

I tried port forwarding. did not work

Anybody have any insight on this? Please let me know if you need any more information.

    :)

Can't connect to a party since new Windows 10 update

    Hi,

To properly isolate your concern and provide you an appropriate solution, please clarify the information below:

    1. Are you using a modem or a gateway?

    2. Do you have a public or private IP address?

    a. Sign in to your router settings.

    b. Access either the status page or WAN settings page.

    c. Verify or record the WAN or Internet IP address.

    d. On your computer, go to the
What Is My IP Address site
    or the
    IPmarker site
to verify your public IP address.

If the IP addresses match, then your router is being assigned a public IP address and open NAT should be possible. If the IP addresses do not match, then your ISP is supplying you with a private IP address and open NAT will not be possible under the current
    configuration.

For information about how to how to access your router and view your WAN or IP address, visit our Networking Hardware Information forums.

We're looking forward to your response.

This is, at least, a temporary fix. I had been experiencing the same problems and it's apparently a server-side issue. This actually worked for me and should hopefully help you, as well.

    1. Right-click Start (or Win key + X)

    2. Click Command Prompt (Admin)

    3. Type in Command Prompt "netsh int ipv6 set teredo client teredo.trex.fi" (without quotation marks) and hit Enter

  6. Thanks for the help but I guess it has solved itself. This morning I looked at the Xbox app and now my NAT is Open and server connectivity is Connected.

Seems to be working so far and I have checked.

    1) I have a modem

    2) The IP addresses match

Not sure if this problem will arise again, but seems to be working so far!

    Thanks for your help!
