Can't connect through HDMI LG TV

Anybody have a fix for a LG TV that won't recognize my xbox through the HDMI? Tried multiple chords, took it to a shop assuming it was the port on the xbox and it worked there. Got back home and I'm still having the same problem.

Make sure you choose the correct SOURCE with TV remote.

Sorry to hear about your TV issue.

I definitely would try a newer 1.4 or a 2.0 HDMI Cable

TV's can be quirky and to play 4k content a 1.4 cable would be the minimum.

If you are not running direct to the TV via the HDMI cable and you are going through a wall plate with adapters, it may/will not work, I speak from experience from hooking these up.

If you sure that the cable is good.

I would suggest reading through the manual. There is usually a "Gamming" HDMI port. I will say this port does 60hz or full UHD.

If you can hook your XB up to another monitor/TV I would make sure all of the modes are on, 480, 720, 1080i etcetera before hooking it back to the LG.

Also, check the simple stuff. That always burns me. Make sure you are plugged into the Correct XB port on the back. Output and not Input.

or monitor while your Xbox One is on" in order to resolve this issue. Have you tried plugging the HDMI cable into a different HDMI port on the TV? Be sure to let us know the results!

Hello, you can use composite cables the image quality is nearly the same than HDMI port, or try using another HDMI port

Can you explain this a bit more? I have a slightly different setup and trying to get it to work.

I have the following:

- Comcast Settop box

- Xbox one

- Yamaha receiver

- LG TV

I have connected:

Settop to Xbox, through HDMI

Xbox to Yamaha, through HDMI

LG TV was already connected to Yamaha, and I have been switching everything thorough Yamaha already.

Everything works fine except one thing - audio for Live TV. I have audio for games, video, etc, everything that comes from Xbox directly. Live TV video works, but no audio. I have gone through the Live TV setup and Xbox correctly controls the settop box
(channels up/down).

Previously the settop box was connected directly to Yamaha, through the same HDMI, and everything worked.

Any ideas?
