Can’t connect my Xbox live account to my minecraft on my iPad

I downloaded minecraft for my iPad today. I’m able to play the game but I can’t connect to Xbox live. I have spent over 4 hours trying to fix this but it still won’t work. I’m able to log in fine on Xbox.com and I have even made another account to ensure
it wasn’t just the account. My account isn’t a child account either. I would really like this to be fixed because is spent £6.99 on the app. The whole point I got it was to play with my friends. Hopefully someone will be able to be able to help. The photo

unable to change privacy and online safety settings

I have Minecraft on my iPad. When I go to the servers section it tells me I have to enter my Xbox account. So I put it in, then it tells me I can’t access it cause I have to change my privacy and online safety settings. Only problem is i can’t find it.

I want to play Minecraft PE on my iPad with Xbox Live. So I got Xbox Live and now it says I can’t play on servers because I have to change the my account settings are in privacy and online safety. I went to online safety and privacy and it just tells me
how to get there, so I do it and it takes me back to the page where it tells me how to do it.
