When you say you disconnected your fortnite account from a prior Xbox, do you mean you just deleted the game or did you change the email associated with the gamertag? Simply restoring an Xbox system to default settings does not change the registered gamertag
and email to the Epic account.

This may sound ridiculous, but are you attempting to sign in with the same email and gamertag? Because if so it literally sounds like somebody is signed in on your account on another system, and perhaps changed the password. I hope this helps, perhaps further
troubleshooting may be required.

No, I did not get my vbucks because my fortnite acc is not connected to my Xbox. My vbucks went to my xbox account but i don't have an xbox account with fortnite. I don't have a fortnite on my xbox.

My son was playing fortnite on xbox and somehow changed setting to keyboard/mouse. We did not connect a mouse or keyboard (not do we own one) and cant figure out how to put game back to controller.

I cant redeem it on Fortnite on my xbox though, i do not have my xbox with me. I only have my pc, if i purchase v bucks from the microsoft store, will it show on my pc fortnite without having to do anything on my actual xbox.
