Cant connect controller to xbox after using remote play

So i was using remote play on my phone when my controller had stopped working, (all the buttons were working fine and i could use the controller), for some reason, only the home button, the left stick and the two triggers were working and none of the buttons work or the pair button so i cant actually pair my controller to my xbox only my phone, I've disconnected the controller and turnt it back on but that doesn't make the controller turn on unless i connect it to my phone, I've hard reset my xbox multiple times, removed and changed battery packs and still nothing works, I've switched to an older xbox controller and this one works, but i still cant connect my series x controller back to my xbox, this is seriously frustrating, how do i get my series x controller to work if i cant even pair it back to my xbox series x?

yes, ive been using an older controller and it works perfectly fine on the xbox, i think its a problem with the controller.

Do you have a different controller that you can try to connect to your Xbox to check if it's the controller or the Xbox?

Also, if you can borrow a USB cable that would be really helpful for us.
