Can't connect. Check your network name a s password and try again ERROR

I'm having trouble connecting to xbox live now. I was using it earlier in the day and when I came back and turned my xbox on it now won't connect to the internet. I know the network name and password is correct as well since it works on my phone and computer.
Is there a way to fix this?

Xbox One won't connect to Wifi

I've tried cycling my modem/router and hard reset to no avail. I'm stuck after entering my wifi password with the error 'Can't connect. Check your network name and password and try again.'

 

Also just ran into this problem right now and any link or support page doesn't help even though that's the only thing Xbox officials are doing posting links to those pages

Any luck with an answer? Today I had turned my laptop on and once that happened I immediately lost connection to Xbox Live. This happened a few days ago also. I contacted my provider thinking Verizon was having issues. Of course there was nothing wrong with
my router. Now I keep getting that annoying error message saying to check the information. About two days ago this happened I was able to play in about half an hour but my NAT type would suddenly become Moderate instead of being Open. I switched my router
on and off, disconnected the power core, but to no success. I'm not *** or anything just I find it annoying that every time I play my friends list is always disappearing and I lose connection to Xbox Live.

 

did you try unplugging your network for 5mins and try conntecting again

 

Same issue here. Laptop computer account works fine but the game console just farted and "forgot" who I am. This just happened 2 days ago and I still can't log into my game console...!!!

Make sure you switch your Xbox from instant on to Energy saving mode. The instant on feature seems to cause a lot of network issues.

As to fix your problem, do a hard restart of your Xbox, hold power button until the Xbox turns off, unplug the ac power cord form the back of the Xbox and wait 5 mins then plug it back in. While your doing this I would power cycle your Modem and Router
as well.

Thanks for the pointers. I tried them out, twice, but to no avail. Apparently, my Xbox One has developed Alzheimer's.

 

I did a cold restart and it worked. I'm back online. I also unplugged my kinect, but I'm not sure if it matters or not.

I also found and an article on IGN that stated "To fix localized Xbox One Xbox Live sign-in problems or games not starting (aka games hanging on the title screen), perform a full reboot of your system, also known as a powercycle, cold restart or hard reset."

 

Oddly, my Xbox One forgot my wireless connection. It can see my SSID, but when I enter my password it prompts that it isn't correct. After the 3rd try, it stopped prompting (though i put the same password). I connected, then it kicked me off the wireless
again. I ended up just wiring in the darn thing. I was on my lunch break, so I didn't have to to dig into the issue, but its not my network. My 4 laptops, two 360's, phones, etc all stay connected to the wireless and has no problems.

 

Little bit of a late bump, but the fix to this for me was the hard reset of the console. I had to put back in my password and reset it a few times thereafter, but it eventually fixed itself.

Funny how poorly designed these consoles are.
