    i am trying to claim forza horizon on xbox one. i am getting a error message that i cannot complete this purchase on xbox.com please complete the purchase on your console. the thing is i am one my console.

    Are Backwards Comp 360 Deals with Gold on Xbox One too?

    So COD: WaW is a backwards compatible game which is on the Xbox 360 Deals with Gold lineup this week. Since it is back-comp, can I simply get the discount on Xbox One?

    The "Backwards Compatibility" only exists for games that they have told the XBox ONE to recognise as "Backwards Compatible".

    Most of the games on the XBox 360 simply will not work on the XBox ONE.

    Microsoft will claim the reason they can't make everything available at once is that they need a Publisher's permission to make the game Backwards Compatible.

    But the real reason Backwards Compatibility exists is to lure XBox 360 owners who have been on the fence for a while into the false supposition that they will be able to play their 360 games on the ONE.

    If you could do that... why not buy a ONE?

    To claim xbox 360 games with bc for xbox one you need a valid method of payment linked to your account, in case of free games with gold a purchase of 0,0$ will be registered.

    And no xbox one doesn't count as an xbox 360 it counts as a Web purchase

    FYI that error is because you are a child account you can only download it if you have an adult account

    BecUsde the xbox one has different incompatible parental settings then the 360 marketplace the parental settings don't apply

    Mercenaries is a Xbox Original game, I'm not sure if it can be played on the Xbox 360, some xbox original games are no longer compatible with Xbox 360 backward compatibility.

    Actually, what you did is correct. Its just that, if you claim an xbox 360 game online, it will only show Download to 360 since that is indeed for the 360. But once you claim(shows already owned), then you can just search the game on your xbox one using
    the same profile under your Ready to Install games, it will show there.
