Can't choose Canadian province when adding a credit card

HELLO . IM HAVING SAME PROBLEM EXCEPT IVE HAD GOLD ON THIS ACCOUNT BEFORE NO PROBLEMS BUT NOW WHEN I TRY ADDING A CREDIT CARD I CANT CHOOSE AUSTRALIA AS MY PROVINCE ?????????????????????????????????????

The reason you must do this is because your credit card and account information must match your physical location. You cannot add a payment option if the info doesn't match. Nor will membership/currency cards work on your account if they were purchased
from a different country than it was set up for.

Problem Solved! I had the same problem trying to pay, but it just came up with States not Provinces. I tried different avenues in paying going through my Xbox One console, Xbox 360 console, laptop. I even looked at the HTML coding that they had and it
always defaulted to the States. I called 4 times to support and they were completely baffled and only told me to buy a Pre-Paid card and do it that way. Which I wasn't happy about it. Solution was found after I tried this, go to your computer and try using
different web browsers. Chrome always defaulted to the States, but when I used Internet Explorer it worked!!! Try different web browsers, that is the key.

I looked at my gamertag, did not see an option for country. But really, why should I have to jump through hoops to renew? Even trivial ones? Nothing is more irritating than when I try and give a company money and they don't allow it. At this point I think
I will let my gold membership expire. I have decided I don't need it. Great job microsoft
