Can't chat or play with one particular friend

So I'm having trouble with using party chat or playing games with one particular person. Every time we try to chat my name says "connecting..." and I get disconnected from party chat. If we try to play games together I lag and get booted from the games.
Every other device in my house works fine and my NAT type is open. Anyone else ever experienced this problem and if so how do you fix it?

Works only in-game chat

I can communicate or play with everyone. I can't chat with only one of my friends only in private chat.

 

How to get rid of the beta update

Because I can't play with my friends or chat with my friends?

It sounds as you and your friend are having an issue making a direct connection between your endpoints, which is a required step while trying to initiate party chat.

Could you provide a bit more information, and it would be good if we could here from your friend as well, so that we can have a better understanding of each and one of your setups.

-Live in VT, USA

-Have a Comcast wireless gateway. TECHNICOLOR tc8305c

-2 Xbox One consoles connected

-Mine is wired. The other is wireless

-I've tried hard resets, Changing location, switching to energy saving mode, lowering the firewall on my gateway, switching to wireless, everything I could think of.

-UPnP is disabled

-No NAT error, but NAT is always moderate and will not stay open.

- sometimes get error code 0x807a1007, but not all the time

-ISP is Comcast

 

not to be mean here but that is the all time WORST router possible as far as xbox is concerned , pages of "known issues" ....step one would be to replace it.........

Known Issues

Lag and intermittent disconnections may occur, with no permanent fix known at this time. We are currently working with Comcast towards a resolution.

High Firewall settings on this device can cause a number of errors on both the Xbox One and the Xbox 360. We have seen "High packet loss" errors on the Xbox One and several potential errors on the 360 including "MTU", "Internet error", "Live connection".
Should any of these errors occur we suggest disabling or setting the firewall to low.

XB1R HADES: Update: (12/24/2014): At this time there is currently no guaranteed fix for these issues and there may not be a fix for some time. This is a firmware issue with the device and not something that Xbox can fix on our end. At this time the best
suggestion we can make would be to replace the gateway with a different brand. Currently the Arris gateways also share similar issues as well.

Technicolor Tc8305C is not compatible with the Xbox. It has nothing to do with Xbox because they do not manufacture that router! This is one of the few routers that has no permanent fix for the random disconnects and Comcast for some reason is still giving
them out!!!!!!
