Can't chat in Minecraft

Migrated my Mojang account to my Microsoft account yesterday and played on a server for a few hours with no issues. Logging on to the same server today, I cannot chat and am prompted to follow a link ( https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/articles/6985971367309 ) I've followed the instructions on the page but still can't chat.

Yes, I was able to manage my settings, and all of those settings in the image are set to allow. The settings mentioned by the instructions are also set to everyone.

I would like to clarify when you followed the instructions were you able to manage your settings?

Just to make sure, please sign in to https://account.xbox.com/settings and then validate if the setting on this screenshot is set to "allow" or "everyone".

Thank you very much. Were you able to restart your device after managing the settings? If yes, and the same issue occurs kindly refresh your settings by setting them to "block" then submit, and after that "allow" and then submit.

i've been getting isuses with minecraft windows 10 edition. Even though the settings for the chat are enabled in xbox privacy settings i can't chat with other players.

Make sure you haven't accidentally muted chat. You can check or change this by opening the chat screen and checking the toggle in the upper right. Oh and if it is sending you to privacy settings then he has settings that won't let you talk to him or its your settings doing the same thing go to your privacy settings and make sure both of your settings are the same.
