Cant change Xbox gamertag, asking for a US address

Are you doing this through the PC? If so, scroll to the bottom of the page and change the region in the far left corner.

We understand that you're attempting to change your account gamertag, but come across a place to update your address information to which it only asks for a United States region.

This may be due to the account possibly being created through the United States region, it would be best to follow these steps:

1. Sign in to your Xbox One console.
2. Press the Xbox button
   to open the guide.
3. Select Settings.
4. Select System.
5. Select Language & location.
6. Select your new location from the list, and then select Restart now.
   

Try doing this on your console and let us know if it then updates, if not you can also follow

Hi, tried downloading the profile as suggested

I am still no further forward, once downloaded I was asked to sign in because "microsoft needs to check and update the security of your xbox profile" so I cant log in via the gamertag

It wont recognise the email address that Ive used, possibly because of a typo but because I cant get in, I cant verify this.

Ive followed the instructions on xbox.com/forgot but I cant sign in with the gamertag so this is useless

There must be some way I can find out what the email address is!!!
