    Can't change region.


    I recently logged back into my Xbox live account which was created in the UK.

    Now i live in Japan, i bought the console here from Microsoft directly. I used the code in the box for a free months gold.

    I also bought a 12 month key here but it won't accept it because of a mismatched currency error.

    When i try to change my account region though it doesn't work. It doesn't really give me any indication why though.

    Is there any way to see why i can't change regions so i can resolve this?

    Can't change region.

    Tried again a few days later and it let me upgrade to game pass this time. So weird, but I guess it resolved itself somehow...

    How many times have you changed the account region?

    You can change the console region at any time but you can only change the account region once
    every three months.

    Thanks guys but support pages just lead me back to here. I can't find a way to contact actual support, which is a bit ridiculous.

    As I said before I cannot redeem a code bought here in Japan because it tells me I have subscription in a different region (I don't have any ongoing subscriptions from what I can find) and it won't let me change region.

    My region is set to Japan on my microsoft account and on my xbox itself. Just the xbox live account that won't let me change. Is it possible that it already is set to Japan? I'm not sure where I can even check that.

    Interestingly just now it let me purchase an xbox live gold subscription from the store in JPY, but it won't let me purchase Game Pass subscription giving the same error as when I tried to redeem the code.
