    I just want to play multiplayer mc with my friends, but whenever I try to change the privacy settings on my account it says i can't because i'm the member of a family and my family doesn't allow it. I'm literally not a member of a family and never have been, this issue keeps coming up for me its so so annoying. I'm playing on minecraft pe rn so i don't have access to my xbox, but i should still be able to change these settings on my computer can't change privacy settings :(

    I have had my account for ~8 years, but I still do think it's odd that back then I could play multiplayer no problem, but NOW I can't.

    If your account is underage you will need to be in a family group as a member and an adult account will be able to change the privacy settings of your account. I suggest to ask an adult to add you so they can manage your settings.

    If that is the case the original age put in to the account is under age. Is it tied to a family account?

    This page has some details on where to change the Privacy and Online Saftey Settings.

    I'm a bit confused about you saying you can't change the settings?
    If your birthday is set correctly     then there may be some restrictions or default settings for your account, that change with what region you're in, based on your age group. Outside of that, if you're in a Microsoft Account Family, an adult account would
    have to change the settings for your account.

    If you're account is of adult age, you should be able to make those changes.

    Can you let me know what error you're getting, or why you're unable to change the settings?
