Can't change privacy settings: links lead to dead ends.

I'm trying to change my settings so that I can play Minecraft Realms. I've found several links that supposedly say how to do it, but the end result is always a dead end with no way to actually change it. I should probably note, there are parental controls on my account but my dad couldn't find how to change the setting either.

Also this is for PC, I got Java edition. Nothing to do with Xbox.

Even if you play on Minecraft Java, the Xbox Privacy Settings still apply to your account. First things first, check if you are part of a Microsoft Family group. Follow these steps:

1. Go to https://family.microsoft.com/.

2. Sign in with your Microsoft account.

3. Check if you are part of a family group.

If you are indeed part of one, find your name, select Leave family group, and confirm.

If you are not part of one, check if your account is set to 18+ years old here: https://account.microsoft.com/profile

If it is not, change that setting and then wait 10 to 15 minutes. Then, follow these steps:

1. Access this page: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?LinkId=746875

2. Select Xbox One/Windows 10 Online Safety tab. Change the follow settings:

To play Minecraft Realms, you need to set the You can play with people outside of Xbox Live, You can create and join clubs, and You can join multiplayer games safety settings to Allow.

3. Select Submit on the end of the page.

xbox.com/refund link is dead. Also googling for "xbox refund" will always lead to that dead end....

Whenever I try to change my settings through aka.ms/accountsettings , it always leads me to this page: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4026796/microsoft-account-change-childs-xbox-privacy-online-safety-settings . Although I am an adult
account, I cannot access any of the links on this page OR xbox.com that would let me change my privacy settings. Any help?

Hey Brad! Thanks for the help. I think you linked me to the privacy settings instructions to change on Xbox. I do not have an Xbox, and I can't find the privacy settings on the website.
