    XB1 can't change OTA channels on Win8 Media Center PC

    My windows 8.1 PC with media center has an OTA tuner. Live TV and even pause/rewind/fastforward of TV works great through the Xbox One. However, the XB1 can't change the channels of my media center. The OneGuide shows the correct channel numbers like 2.1
    and 7.2, etc. However, every time I try to have the xbox change the channel it only seems to send the first number to the PC. For example, 2 gets sent instead of 2.1.

    I have the Cablebox device setup as Media Center PC and the guide data is OTA Denver (80030).

    Any thoughts?

    Still any possibility to a new Xbox One media remote that has numbers? The new one has no number pad, so i can't use it to change channels.

    One Guide and Windows Media Center PC (HTPC)

    You can map the channel numbers in Media Center to anything you like. Tasks, Settings, TV, Edit Channel, I believe is how it goes. There is a place where you can change the channel number. I also had to set up OneGuide as if it was local cable instead of
    OTA and map the channels in Media Center to what they are on that cable provider. It still wasn't properly sending the channel number even after removing the decimal point. Probably because the HDMI port isn't set up properly for OTA signals.

    Thanks FreeJac, I had to do a combination of that and changing my One Guide cable settings, I had it set on an OTA option but even after changing the channel numbers to 6.0 it still wouldn't work. It would enter the numbers, the screen would go black for
    a few moments and then return to the previous channel. Once I changed my cable settings to a local cable (verizon) variant it started working as intended.

    Unfortunately the Xbox 360 remote is not compatible with the Xbox One and at the moment the Microsoft are not planning to change this.

    Microsoft may redesign and release the Xbox One media remote similar to how they did with the Xbox 360 remote in the future but this is just speculation however I believe there are some 3rd party remotes that maybe have the use of a number pad to change
    channel such as Logitech Harmony remote range. I believe the control is designed like this to possible make people use the Kinect features more.
