Can't change "My home Xbox"?

Recently, due to the Gears of War Ultimate Edition Beta launching, I was forced to reset my home xbox to my system. This was a bit annoying due to the fact that now my friend could no longer play the games that I purchased. Now, after attempting to reset
my home xbox to THEIR system it seems that they are unable to change ANY account's home xbox, to their system.

Basically, they attempted to change my home xbox to their system, and it wouldn't let them, and when this occurred, they tried changing THEIR OWN home xbox, back to THEIR OWN system, and THAT didn't even work. Is this a problem with their system, or the
accounts?

Also, for further details, I am able to freely change my home xbox to my system all I want, AND I am even able to freely change THEIR home xbox to my system all I want as well. But they seem to be unable to change ANYONE'S home xbox to their system. Any
help or suggestions?

I can't change my home xbox.

It will not let me change my home xbox. I hit "Make this my home Xbox" and it says "Make this your home Xbox? Make this your home Xbox if you want other people to get to play your games, and enjoy the online multiplayer of your Gold membership when they
sign in here. You have 4 switches left." I confirm it by hitting "Make this my home Xbox" then it tells me "Couldn't save your changes. Something went wrong when we tried to save your changes. Please make your changes again." I have hit it multiple times,
reset my xbox, hard reset my xbox, messed around with settings, sign out then back in and everything I could think of but it says the same thing. It tells me I still have switches so I don't get it. Please help me so I can make my account to my home xbox. I
think it might be the xbox because I have multiple accounts and I can not change any of the home Xbox's on any of them. It just says the same thing.

 

PLEASE HELP NEED URGENT A ASSISTANCE

Why?

 

You can change which console is your home Xbox up to three times during a one-year period.

If limit has been reached, contact Xbox Support, they can have the limit be reset.

I understand that there is a limit, but We both should not have hit the limit for the changes. That is what is confusing about my issue.

 

Fyi that you are doing is a violation of the terms of use and a severe one

Dlc is only meant to be used by you and your family not to give your friends free games

 

That doesn't make any sense... If we both cannot afford a game on our own, shouldnt we be able to split the cost 50/50? I have been doing that since 360...

 

The One is set up a little more so to be able to share, but on the 360 it can be seen as marketplace theft and can result in both of your accounts being banned. Digital content is not meant to be shared like that over the Live service. As ngocphi said, the
way the system is set up, it's mostly meant to be used to share within the same household.

 

I'm sort of in the same boat, except mine is between me and my cousin? If my cousin isn't in my household, is that still considered a violation of the terms? Or is that a completely different situation to them?

 

The licenses are really meant to be stored on the console you use the most so that you don't have issues playing the games you bought, especially if you have to play offline. The system is meant to be set up so if someone else is using your console they
can play your games. License transfers/the Home setting are not really meant as a way to give someone free games. That can be seen as marketplace theft.

 

Well then why is it an option in the first place? Why wouldn't they just have it built into the system to play games offline, that you bought yourself? Even adding the option to change the home xbox is just ASKING for people to do something like that.

 

As stated before it is meant for people to use within its own household so if someone has 2 consoles in thr same house they dont havr to buy twice the other console will need the original gamertag that purchased the games tonbe signed in

no its not i use it over my friends house and my friend uses it on mine how is it violation that is what its for my friend works for microsoft so whatever you say you can believe

 

nope i go over my friends house and play i use my account its just a bonus for her

So 12 months after the last change you are going to have to wait
