Can't Change My Gamertag on XBOX 360 - Error Code:80190843

Hello Support,

please help!!!

For the last 3-4 days I've been trying to change my Gamertag but I keep getting this message:

"Sorry, there's a problem with the Xbox service. Try again later. For help with this problem, go to
www.xbox.com/errorhelp. Status code: 80190843"

I already chatted with two different and helpless xbox support guys. I tried different credit cards which are all good. I've tried deleting the profile many times and redownloading.

Don't know what else is wrong.

Can someone official in the xbox support just change my gamertag for me? send me an email where I can give more details from what to what I want to change my gamertag.

Hi, I've been having trouble changing my gamertag on the xbox 360 for quite some time now. It always says that there is something wrong with the xbl service and shows an error code:80190843. Which, when I look up actually shows no search results. Any ideas?

To make sure that everything is alright please check if all the details are correct at:
http://billing.microsoft.com

If you haven't already, try clearing the console cache. Go to settings - system - storage - highlight a storage device and then press Y, this shows a menu where you can clear the cache, restart the console after that.

If this doesn't/didn't work then you have no option but to speak to the agents again, through chat or phone, your account might be corrupted or there's an error with it and they need to check it, to contact support please go to: Contact Us | Xbox Support

I just made sure that the billing info is the same and cleared the system cache but still same old message.

Soooo... annoying....

Well, thanks for trying to help at least...

 

Since I tried to chat the 3rd time, they finally offered to escalate my request to a higher tier, so no they are going to change it themselves for me. So, it looks like chatting with support multiple times does help.

It's been a week or two and XBOX support still couldn't help me with changing my gamertag... very unprofessional...

 

you need to contact support. check your email, that is the ONLY way the escalation team gets in contact. when they escalated it, they should of given you a service request number tied to the escalation. no one on the forums has access to your account and
neither the forums nor chat/phone support can change your gamertag for you.
