Can't change my email without verifying through that email, but the email is gone

The email I have this account set to is gone. I lost access to it. Now I can't figure out how to change my email. Everything keeps telling me to fully sign in to this account, but in order to do that I need a code from the lost email account, which I can't
possibly get.

How do I change my email?

Also, if I can't change the email, is there any other way I can confirm that I have parental guidance to buy Xbox Live? What I'm trying to do is buy Xbox Live on my actual account (this is technically the parent account), but I "need a parent to buy this",
and I literally have no way of confirming that.

Help.

How do I verify my primary alias to change my email when I don't have access to that old email anymore?

I have been pulling my hair out on the phone with support trying to figure this out.

My Microsoft account is over 10 years old. I no longer have access to the primary email address linked to it. It is an SBCglobal.net email. They don't even exist anymore.

I can't add another new current email to change it to my primary without verifying my old one. But like I said, I can't access it. I have been signing it to my account on my Xbox for years without even thinking about changing that email. I have the password
to my account, and should have another email and my cell phone linked to it also, but can't do anything until I verify through that stupid email.

Do I have any options? I'm sure we should be able to verify my identify through some other means. HELP.

Can't access my Account settings

A new security update is out and I can't sign into my XBL account without verifying my original email address. This is an issue because I made that email address specifically for the XBL account and the only way i can retrieve that is through the account
settings which I can't access until I verify the email address I can't remember. I'm planning on buying an xbox one after christmas and will want to carry my account over from my 360 but I need this sorted before hand because it's how i watch netflix and now

I have an old account I made for friends to use that didn't have one. That email is long gone. I still havent been able to use it. The only way would be to change the email to the new one using the old email to verify the change. Since the old email is
gone you can't verify it.

One of my friends confirmed that we are still friends on his microsoft account. Would that still be the case if my gamertag and profile were assumed by someone else? It even has the same score. If I remember correctly, I created the account on a 360

If you are referring to a Xbox classic account, you can't recover one of those, you should migrated this accounts to 360, there was a process for that not currently available, and you mentioned you are seeing the Gamertag currently active, a few years back Xbox released inactive Gamertags for others to take, that's probably why you are seeing it active

You can't access to a Xbox account without knowing the Email, as the Xbox account its not linked to the Xbox account, the Xbox account its part of the Microsoft account, if you can't remember the Email won't be possible to access that Gamertag
