Can't change gamertag without suffix

It's worth noting that Existing gamertags will remain unchanged with no suffix. No action is necessary unless you want to make a change and you can keep your current gamertag with zero change in experience, and
no suffix will be attached. Anyone else who chooses the same gamertag as you will automatically have a suffix added to distinguish them.

There is no action required to keep your existing gamertag. Nobody will ever be able to claim the same gamertag without a mandatory, auto-assigned suffix.

Hate to break it to you but as mentioned it doesn't matter what third party sites says

You have to use the EXACT context to find a name it's a privacy issue

You can't randomly search a name

The only page you should trust is change gamertag and as mentioned if it says it's taken it's taken you just will have to be more.creative with the spelling

You can't possibly think a simple gamertag like that wouldnt be taken

Yes but multiple sites such as This say that is is available and nothing comes up when I search users for it

With such a gamertag how can't it be taken ?

You gotta remember if the system says it's taken it is taken just not the way you searched

When searching for a name you MUST comply with privacy and use EXACT CONTEXT

When changing a name your name has to be unique

So gamertag is the same as Gamer Tag or GamerTag etc you have millions of combinations to look up
