Can't Change Gamertag, trying for months no help givin.

hi support, here, good evening. I would like to contact you guys about an issue I have dealt with and tried for 3 weeks now, trying to change my gamegrtag from , to Dynamic. On the xbox360 and so xboxgamertag.com and other sites,
this gamertag is not in use, but on xbox.com it is, I have had talks with 3 support people. They all mentioned that if this account is a account, but not active you guys can cancell the U unactive account and make the gamertag useable for my self to have,
I have had so many troubles with this you guys dont understand, PlayStation network would have sorted this issue out ASAP, without waiting 24 hours, And I am not adding numbers such as 01 10 etc to "dynamic" the gamertag says it's not a valid Account, and
I want this gamertag, please support hope you guys can sort this issue out once and for all, p.s I am not the only one who is complaining about inactive accounts, you guys need to get this fixed and cancell and remove all the not used accounts. Have a good

Hi im trying to use a certain gamertag to change it for alot of views on my xbox profile and im wondering if I can request a gamertag Heartless g it is not a bad gamertag no bad words or anything but I can't change it to the gamertag I want can someone please
help? I will love to pay for this gamertag if anybody can help me change it I would love you forever

hi, so i have been trying to change my gamertag to "PsyQo Logic" for a few months now..and every time i try change it, it says this "This gamertag is allready in use. try another gamertag or pick a suggestion." so then i go and try send the account a friend
request it says "Can't complete this process. Please try again for more info visit www,xbox.com/support." Please give me some help with this i really want to know if the account it silvered or something because the xbox support on twitter don't help me with
anything.

 

If it is an account then you can't have it, simple as that, regardless if whether it is active or not.

Besides, just because it isn't active on a console does not mean someone is not using that Microsoft account. They could be using it for their Windows 8 login for example.

Why on Earth should someone lose part of their account simply because you want it?

If you want support then I suggest you post in the support section forums.xbox.com/.../default.aspx. This is a general discussion section of the forum and the chances of find Microsoft employees here is zero.

I'm just a regular user like you and personally speaking I would be highly annoyed if Microsoft just started cutting slices out of my account because someone else wanted it.

I was going to stop because I didn't have anything more to add but I'm afraid I react badly to people telling me not to post on a public discussion board.

Now I can understand the frustration of not being able to have the gamertag you want but the simple fact is that Microsoft accounts are not just used on the consoles. As I said before just because an account isn't being used on the consoles does not mean
that it is inactive.

Is this really such an issue that you haven't been able to play anything for three weeks?

 

Yes on your website on supooet chat and zboz 360 it says the account is not even active then it is last night I was talking to "prime" on support chat, he said U guys can deactivate accounts that are not used anymore, U.S. customers have rights, support
and u should do your job and help people not make a situation worse bro

No one here works for support, and are using their free time just trying to assist people like you for no return whatsoever.

Just to add to what the others have told you, there is no way to have an account deactivated. A while back Microsoft released original Xbox gamertags that were never converted to be used on the 360, but that's it. If the system says a tag is in use, then
it's in use and you cannot have it. The system also doesn't see things like spaces as making a gamertag unique. So the gamertag is not in use as Dynamic (which is why you don't see it when you search it like that), but it is in use as D Y N A M I C.

 

Best I could suggest is why not use v1 (version one) or something more to your liking, B4 or even following the tag you want?
