    Can’t change gamertag on Xbox website


    Hi I know this post is from a month ago but im having the same issues, my profile region is UK ive checked multiple times but when I make payment it changes to the US also tried going through PayPal but the website wont allow me to sign into it. If I do
    it through another browser it just says its undetected? Can someone help me please I dont have the console hooked up anymore so my only way to do this is through PC the xbox app just brings me to browser as its not through a free name change

    Hello Misery,

    Thanks for posting what you did to fix this, or work around it. There are different things that do this for some reason, work good on console, not on site and vise versa.

    Based on the info provided this sounds like it may be a little more involved than what we can help with on these forums. I would reach out to MS Billing Support to get ot fully sorted, they should be able to help.

    Hi there,

    I'm afraid that changing regions is once in 12 months at this moment.

    If you changed region within that time period of 12 months then you will have to wait until you can change it again.

    A region migration should only be used when you are going to move to a different country for a long time.

    You can double check the current region of your account at :
    https://live.xbox.com/Account/BillingAccountInformation

    Something else worth to check is that the website is set to the correct country/region in the bottom left corner when you try to change the gamertag.

    If it still fails please try to see if you can change the Gamertag via the steps on the console or the Xbox App as mentioned here:

    https://support.xbox.com/my-account/manage-gamertag-and-profile/change-xbox-live-gamertag

    Thanks its okay I had to manually change the URL to GB, I dont know why I didnt think of that in the first place BUT THANK YOU

    Scroll to the very bottom of the website and change the region in the left hand corner to the UK.
