Can't change gamertag, name not already owned, not innapropriate

So I'm trying to change my gamertag, and the system won't let me do it. There is no one with the account already registered, and the name is not considered inappropriate or over the character limit. its two words and each individual word is not banned, and
both already have accounts linked to them? why cant i change it?

An innocent gamertag is not allowed?

So, on YouTube, Steam, Twitter, EVERYTHING, my name is PeacockMan. But I am not allowed to change my name to PeaockMan on Xbox, because it contains "innapropriate language or profanity". I was wondering if there was any way that this gamertag could be, 'unblocked'
because this gamertag is completely innocent!

even if the gamertag we want/need still shows unused when we search for it, it does not necessarily mean it's automatically useable . there are millions of gamertag owners/holders. Xbox system follows a filtering process to prevent abuse and keep accounts
secure .

for example, if a gamertag was already owned recently and was flagged/banned for infractions on Xbox Live Terms of Use or Code of Conduct, that gamertag will not be available for use and may no longer show as in-use . or if someone already took their preferred
gamertag name and had a change of heart and change it to something else, the same thing will happen. the gamertag will not show as in-use but it cannot be used by someone else as well; the reason for this is to prevent someone from impersonating whoever owned
that gamertag name previously.

Secondly if the system says it's taken then it's taken you just don't know how the system works

First when searching for the friends name you must have the exact spelling to find a friend

But when trying to take a name it has to be unique So is the same as Ngoc Phi or or

You are just going to have to be more unique

With letters and number
